Timothy D. Ervin was the valedictorian of the Providence St. Mel School Class of 1991. Ervin received his B.S. in Management from Purdue University. He returned to Providence St. Mel as their dean of students. Ervin launched his career in real estate finance in 1995 and most recently worked for LaSalle Bank/Bank of America. During his finance career, Ervin continued to teach basketball at Providence St. Mel and founded The Chicago Knights Foundation to grant college scholarships to graduating seniors at Providence St. Mel. He has participated in Career Day, offering advice to current students about possible career paths. He has also volunteered for several years at the senior retreat, helping soon-to-be graduates to reflect upon their experiences in high school and prepare for their future. Ervin is youth pastor at New Mount Pilgrim Church and works with Dinosaurs of the Future, LLC to promote dialogue about education
